'Witness to War' is the title of an exhibition that brings together a selection of Stan Fraser's photo and film documentation of Malta during World War II. Gunner Fraser was stationed in Malta between 1941 and 1943. During this time, the hobby filmographer and photographer captured not only the life of a soldier in the artillery but also life from the civilian perspective in Malta and Gozo. The video shows the unusual location of an exhibition, a few metres below ground level, in the cellar at the Auberge d'Italie, in the heart of Valletta. The same cellar served as an air raid shelter for the residents of the city - several elderly visitors to the exhibition recalled spending hours under ground during the many air raids over Valletta and the Grand Harbour between 1941 and 1943. The third edition of the photographic exhibition MaltaInMyEyes, by the italian photographer Giovanna Di Lauro, will be held in Malta from 4 to 15 July 2016 at the prestigious Palazzo Ferreria, venue of the Ministry for the Family and Solidarity, located in Republic Street in Valletta. The first successful edition has been organized in Campobasso (birth city of the Author) last November and was inaugurated at the presence of the Ambassador of Malta in Italy H.E.
